LiveEstimate ElicitationWhat share of treated patients will the product hold at peak, five years after launch, in its lead indication?
Peak Market Share Range is a ready-made use case for Brand & Marketing. It ships under the Estimate Elicitation template.
For brand and commercial leads. You get each seat's low, central and high with its anchors, the pooled range and what it is not, and what would narrow it. Claims are cited or marked as gaps.

The decision
What share of treated patients will the product hold at peak, five years after launch, in its lead indication?
Who estimates
A share depends on the competitive set, access and clinician uptake. The seats start from analog products and the labeled population.
| Seat | What it estimates from | Why it is at the table |
|---|---|---|
| Global Brand Lead | The uptake curve of analog launches and the product’s differentiation. | Public sales and prescribing data for analogs. |
| Global Market Access Director | How access terms would cap or lift share. | Payer policies. |
| Global Real-World Evidence Lead | The size and the treatment patterns of the treated population. | Claims and registry sources. |
| Global Medical Affairs Director | Where clinicians would use the product and where they would not. | Guidelines and practice patterns. |
What the elicitation does
Define the denominator. Share of what? Treated patients, eligible patients or prescriptions. The quantity states which, and the time at which it is measured.1
Overconfidence is expected. Forecasts of uptake are often too narrow. The report shows each seat’s interval and does not take the narrowest.2
What would narrow it. The report names the data that would reduce the spread, such as early prescribing data from analogs or payer decisions.
Recommended length
Standard
Four angles bear on the number. Standard depth gives each a seat, with the dossier and the reasons for the spread, in about four pages.
You can pick another length on the form. The other two stay available.
Assumptions the elicitation checks
The elicitation states the assumptions each estimate rests on, and says what each gap limits. Examples for this quantity:
- The analog products are comparable in disease and market.
- Access will be broad within a year of launch.
- No new entrant will take share in the period.

Method
The decision practice behind the memo itself is on the template page.
What gets flagged
Any analog chosen without a reason, any share stated without its denominator, and any interval narrower than the spread across seats.
What arrives
- The quantity and how it is judged
- Evidence dossier
- Seat judgments
- Estimates side by side
- Why the seats differ
- Revised estimates after rebuttal
- The pooled range and what it is not
- What would narrow the range
What it will not do
The pool is a synthesis of AI judgments and not a calibrated distribution, and the seats are not weighted by performance. It does not narrow the range to look decisive.
It is not a sales forecast and does not use company confidential data unless supplied.
It is not a calibrated probability distribution. The pool is a synthesis of AI judgments, and the report says so.
It does not weight seats by performance. No calibration record exists for the AI seats.
It does not narrow the range to look decisive.

About the Panel service
Each panelist answers in their own voice, then the discussion is drawn together. You get the question and who was in the room, every position in full, what they agreed on, where they split, and what follows. Disagreements are written down rather than smoothed into a consensus nobody actually holds, because the split is usually the part you needed.
