The decision
Which claims in this launch detail aid would a review committee challenge, and what support does each need?
Who reviews
FDA lists the usual problems in promotion as overstated benefits, downplayed or omitted risks, unsupported claims, misrepresented study data and misleading comparisons. The seats review for each.
| Seat | What it reviews | What it works from |
|---|---|---|
| Global Brand Lead | Whether the message is clear and what the claims imply to a prescriber. | The detail aid and its message research. |
| Global Commercial Compliance Officer | Fair balance, material facts and whether each claim has support.1 | FDA’s promotion program and the regulations. |
| Global Medical Affairs Director | Scientific accuracy and the fit of the data to the claim. | The cited publications. |
| Regulatory Strategist | Consistency with the approved labeling.1 | The labeling supplied. |
What the review does
True is not enough. The ledger marks items that are accurate but omit a material fact or give undue emphasis, and states the change needed.1
Every claim traces to a location. The substantiation table records the support offered for each claim and whether the panel could find it in the material supplied.2
Superlatives and comparisons get extra scrutiny. Superiority, “first” or “only” claims are flagged for the evidence tier they need.
Recommended length
Standard
Four lanes bear on this document. Standard depth gives each a seat, the ledger and the substantiation table in about four pages.
You can pick another length on the form. The other two stay available.
Assumptions the review makes
The review states what it assumes about the document and the material supplied, and says what each gap limits. Examples for this document:
- The labeling supplied is current.
- The references cited are the full set of support.
- The audience is healthcare professionals.

- Required changes and conditions for approval
- Rebuttal round
- What this review could not check
What it will not do
This is analyst judgment from AI specialists and not a regulatory, medical or legal sign-off. It cannot check original data or the approved label, and the decision stays with you.
It does not replace the company’s promotional review.
It is analyst judgment from AI specialists and not a regulatory, medical or legal sign-off.
It does not rewrite the document. It states the change and leaves the writing to the author.
It does not check original data or the approved label held by the company. Those checks need a real reviewer.

About the Panel service
Each panelist answers in their own voice, then the discussion is drawn together. You get the question and who was in the room, every position in full, what they agreed on, where they split, and what follows. Disagreements are written down rather than smoothed into a consensus nobody actually holds, because the split is usually the part you needed.
